4 die in crash near Sleepy Eye

SLEEPY EYE, Minn. -- Four young men are dead after a crash on an icy highway near Sleepy Eye.


The State Patrol says the incident happened around 8:20 p.m. when a Pontiac Grand Prix driving on Highway 14 lost control while entering a curve to go southbound and was struck by a Dodge pickup.

Lt. Eric Roeske says there were five people in the car, and the four passengers were killed.

They have been identified as 17-year-old Payton Adams (pictured with father, brother below - far left) of Sleepy Eye, 17-year-old Caleb Quesenberry (pictured above of St. Peter, 18-year-old John Mangen of Fairfax and 20-year-old Tyler Hadley of Sleepy Eye.

The driver, 19-year-old Kansas Adams (pictured below - far right) of Sleepy Eye, was seriously injured.

The driver of the pickup and his two children suffered non-life threatening injuries.
