A superhero tribute for a Lakeville boy

LAKEVILLE, Minn. -- A Lakeville neighborhood is surrounding a family that is grieving the loss of a 3-year-old boy who passed away last week after battling cerebral palsy.

The community decided to show their support by blanketing their yards with superhero badges as a tribute to Lincoln Hendrickson, who neighbors say was always a fighter.

Lincoln's mom, Melanie Hendrickson, said 'Super Linc' became Lincoln's logo because he fought so hard.

"He was a brave little soul. He has been through a lot of really traumatic things," she said.

Almost every yard in the neighborhood has Lincoln's 'Super Linc' symbol on their lawn or driveway.

"I am speechless. I am happy because I know Lincoln can see it. He can see how much he has impacted everybody and changed people's lives. He made a difference in three and a half years," said Melanie.
