BLOOMINGTON, Minn.- Heavy rain early Thursday morning lead to flash flooding across the Twin Cities. In Bloomington, Minnesota 77 was inundated with water near 84th Avenue. Cars were seen driving through the high water. Some vehicles were not so lucky and became stranded.
Within the hour, water on both sides of the highway had receded, but Bloomington Police were forced to respond to other areas where streets were under water. One was in the area of 98th Street and Normandale. There were reports that one vehicle became swamped with standing water over the hood. Occupants of that vehicle had to be pulled out.
