Fans flock to Crashed Ice event in St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. - About 120,000 fans filled downtown St. Paul on Saturday night to watch the third annual Crashed Ice Championships.

Some were worried the snow would derail the extreme downhill skating race, but in the end it did not hamper the competition or the attendance.

Crashed Ice officials said that it is the largest crowd ever to attend a Crashed Ice event in any country.

The event will be broadcast nationally for the first time on Fox Sports 1 on Monday at 8.30 p.m.
