MINNEAPOLIS, Minn – Minneapolis' Northside Achievement Zone recognized six of its members for making great strides in academic leadership.
A kindergartener, two elementary students, one middle school student and two adults all received awards for their individual progress.
The community consists of nearly 700 families with over 1,600 hundred children who are committed to making college a priority. NAZ President and CEO, Sondra Samuels, shared the latest NAZ outcomes for families and children.
The NAZ Promise Neighborhood is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization and a collaboration of organizations and schools partnering with families in a geographic "Zone" of North Minneapolis to prepare children to graduate from high school ready for college.
