MN teen pursues national Punt, Pass and Kick title

SPRING GROVE, Minn. - While the spotlight in Denver this weekend will be squarely on the hometown Broncos, a Minnesota kid will bask in some of it.

Alex Folz of Spring Grove will participate in the national Punt, Pass and Kick Competition. The 13-year-old was chosen from thousands of competitors from across the country, and will attempt to prove he is one of the top five passers and kickers in his age group. His advice for other kids who might have the same goal is simple.

"Just work as hard as you possibly can," Alex says, "keep a straight mind and don't get too greedy at all."

In addition to playing football for the Spring Grove Lions, Folz also plays baseball and basketball.

He has a goal of one day playing in the N-F-L for, you guessed it... the Minnesota Vikings.
