This year's Tekne Awards will raise money for scholarships for undergraduate students in STEM, science, technology, engineering and math.
The Minnesota High Tech Foundation will award $2000 scholaships to students from the University of Minnesota, MNSCU schools and Minnesota's private colleges.
Attendees will see some of the best Minnesota has to offer in the areas of clean technology, IT, communications, medical technology, teaching and more.
The 2009 Tekne awards honor companies and individuals who have shown superior technology innovation and leadership in Minnesota.
The awards will be presented Thursday, October 22nd at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
General registration and reception begin at 5pm, followed by dinner, awards ceremony, and a post-Tekne party at 8:30pm.
