For people with disabilities, finding a job isn't always easy. But one organization, Lifeworks Services, and some area businesses are aiming to change that.

Tuesday morning on KARE 11 First Edition, Judy Lysne with Lifeworks and Daren Cotter with CotterWeb discussed why it's important get people with disabilities into the work force.

Lysne said people with disabilities want what most people want, a steady job where they can earn a living. Lysne says it's the job of Lifeworks to identify companies that can provide repetitive work that people with disabilities can do.

Once Lifeworks identifies the companies and jobs that can be done by people with disabilities, they send a work coach to help train employees.

One of the companies involved in the program is CotterWeb, an Internet marketing company in the Twin Cities. CEO Daren Cotter says Lifeworks clients come to the CotterWeb's office weekly and monthly to help with mailings. Cotter says those employees are adding value to his company.
