MINNEAPOLIS - Due to the extreme cold weather, the city's solid waste and recycling pickups will not take place on Monday.
Households' garbage and recycling pickups scheduled for Jan. 6 through Jan. 10 will occur one day later.
The National Weather Service predicts that most of the state will experience extremely cold temperatures on Monday.
The day's high is expected to be below zero and the low could drop to -20 degrees.
A wind chill advisory remains in effect through Monday, with wind chills predicted to be as low as -50 degrees.
