Still time to donate to Walk for Philippines recovery

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - People in the Twin Cities marked one month since Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines with a fundraising effort.

The "Walk for the Philippines" was held Sunday morning at the Mall of America.

All money raised will help rebuild the devastated communities.

Haiyan plowed through Tacloban and other coastal areas, leaving over 5,700 dead and more than 1,700 missing. Some 4 million people were displaced.

Tens of thousands are living amid the ruins of their former lives, underneath shelters made from scavenged materials and handouts.

Sunday was declared a "day of prayer and remembrance" for victims of the storm.

If you missed the walk, you can still donate. Click here for details.
