MINNEAPOLIS - Former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak is out of the intensive care unit at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and in good condition, according to doctors.
Rybak had a procedure done on Monday at the cardiac catheterization lab. The procedure was done to prevent further complications.
Ryback suffered a serious heart attack on Saturday. Doctors immediately performed an angioplasty and inserted two stents.
His family history likely played a large role in his condition. Through family, Rybak noted that he eats healthy and lives an active lifestyle.
Family told KARE 11 over the weekend that Rybak would likely be released from the hospital on Tuesday.
