Rybak to undergo another procedure, release likely Tues.

MINNEAPOLIS – Former Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak is set to undergo another procedure, after suffering a heart attack just days after leaving office.

Doctors at Abbott Northwestern Hospital have already placed two stents in Rybak's heart and they will "clean out another artery" on Monday.

Rybak remains in the hospital, but his family says "he has returned to his usual self."

"You would have no idea he had a heart attack," said Grace Rybak, R.T.'s daughter. "He is recovering well."

Rybak suffered a serious heart attack after cross-country skiing at Theodore Wirth Park on Saturday morning. Thankfully, he ran into some friends who called 911.

"It's very fortunate that his friends came upon him," says Grace. "It was critical that he got help when he did."

Rybak felt well enough Sunday to tweet a picture of himself with a "thumbs up" sign.

He is expected to be released on Tuesday.
