MINNEAPOLIS - A sinkhole in downtown Minneapolis is causing headaches for Target Center and nearby workers.
The sinkhole opened up after a water main burst near Target Center around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
The break was in a 16-inch water main under 2nd Avenue North. The Target Center was without water for a few hours, but all other buildings in the areamaintained water service.
The area around the Target Center on 2nd Ave. N. between 6th and 7th Streetwas closed while crews worked to fix the pipe.
The Minnesota Lynx went on as scheduled.
