ST. PAUL - A new car-sharing service is coming to St. Paul.
The St. Paul City Council approved Car2Go, which is already a popular mode of transportation in Minneapolis. The council voted 4-2 to okay the service to roll out in St. Paul next month.
Car2Go, a Daimler North America company, allows drivers to rent the vehicles by the minute. And, there is no specific location to pick up and return the vehicles.
The service does require a membership. Members use their smartphones to locate available cars and unlock the vehicle by scanning their membership cards.
