CRYSTAL, Minn. - Investigators have unearthed possible human bones in the backyard of a home in the 5700 block of Quail Avenue in Crystal.
Police opened the suspicious death case after responding to a domestic assault call Tuesday. While talking to witnesses officers were given information that a baby had died several years ago at the home in Crystal.
Crystal Police Investigators, Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Crime Lab and Hennepin County Medical Examiner crews have been methodically digging for evidence in the case.
The mystery leaves neighbors wondering what happened.
"Everyone's surprised," said Jerry Rowley who lives nearby. "I don't know of any incident like this that has happened in this area."
Two people have been arrested and are being held at the Hennepin County Jail. Both faces charges relating to the death of an unborn child.
