ANOKA, Minn. - An autopsy is being performed on the body of an unidentified male found on Anoka County park land Tuesday night, but authorities say it is likely that of a missing Coon Rapids man.

Alan Taylor, age 31, was last seen August 25 around noon getting into an unknown white Pontiac passenger car. His family notified authorities, and listed him as a missing person.

On Tuesday night, more than a week after Taylor disappeared, Coon Rapids police were called to a wooded area on Anoka County Park property near the intersection of Mississippi Blvd. and Uplander Street after someone discovered a body.

Investigators say there was no apparent evidence of trauma to the body noted at the scene, but the Anoka County Medical Examiners Office will determine cause of death and the identity of the body.

A spokesman for the Anoka County Sheriff's Office says at this point, there is likelihood that the body may belong to Taylor.
