Body pulled from Lake Minnetonka ID'd

ORONO, Minn. - A body pulled from Lake Minnetonka Thursday afternoon has been identified as 65-year-old David Charles Carlson of Blaine, Minnesota. 

In a news release from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, authorities say the body was recovered around 4 p.m. Thursday in Smith's Bay on the lake. 

Law enforcement had been searching the lake after finding an abandoned sailboat around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released the man's name on Saturday, but they say the cause of death is still under investigation.
