Minneapolis Park buildings to reopen, programs to resume

MINNEAPOLIS - The city of Minneapolis will reopen its park buildings and programs will resume on Tuesday.

The decision was made as temperatures are projected to rise, with weather returning to an average Minnesota winter day by mid-day Tuesday.

As a result, all scheduled Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board indoor and outdoor programs will resume at 12 p.m.

The Wirth Winter Recreation Area, including the ski chalet, tubing hill and ski trails also reopen at 12 p.m.

The Park Board's recreation centers, which typically open at 3 p.m. weekdays, will also open 12 p.m.

All ice rink warming houses will reopen at their normal scheduled time of 3 p.m.
