Minnesota State Fair holding job fair

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Anyone interested in getting a job at the Great Minnesota Get-Together can start getting their resume together.

The Minnesota State Fair is hosting a State Fair Job Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28.

The job fair will be at the Progress Center on the fairgrounds. More than 600 positions will be available, including: ticket sellers, parking attendants, cooks, cashiers, retail salespeople, food and beverage servers, custodians and more. Wages for most positions range from $9.50 to $10 per hour. 

The applicant line begins forming at 3 p.m. outside the center, and anyone who's in line by 7:45 p.m. will be allowed to participate.

Job seekers are encouraged to register online in advance. They must be at least 16 years old and willing to work all 12 days of the fair (Aug. 24 to Sept. 4). Resumes are not required, but will be accepted.
