GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - The New Year begins in a few days, and it could mean for you a time to start fresh.

Not just a health start or starting a new book, but how about a new job?

Whether you're looking to find a new career, or perhaps you want to go for a promotion. There are plenty of resources out there to help move you forward.

Jim Kwapick, District President for Robert Half International, spoke with Kim on KARE 11 Sunrise about tips for those of you looking to make some career resolutions.

Kwapick says even if you aren't looking to change or advance careers, the New Year is a great time to update that resume, and acknowledge your achievements from the past year.

Before you start the search for that new position, you should really do an internal audit and figure out your strengths and weaknesses.

The world around us is always changing, in some fields more than others, so try to learn something new in your field you can offer to potential employees.

Kwaick also says if you're employed or not, it is always a good thing to keep up that networking.
