WAYZATA, Minn. -- When you think of your body having inflammation, you might imagine an injury or a fever that requires medication.
However, you might have inflammation every day, on the cellular level.
Researchers have found a number of factors that increase inflammation in the body, including physical trauma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, poor lifestyle choices, even stress.
Doctors have linked chronic inflammation to heart disease, among other health problems.
Chris says certain foods have properties that can help reduce inflammation, such as antioxidants and Omega 3 fats.
On Motivation Monday, Chris shared some of her favorite inflammation fighters, including turmeric, tropical fruits, blueberries, nuts, wild caught salmon, and sweet potatoes.
Watch for her easy recipe to make sweet potato fries, which are actually baked.
