PLYMOUTH, Minn. -- Playgrounds aren't just for kids. If you are Chris Freytag, a playground is the perfect place for a serious workout.
Chris says many fitness centers are taking a cue from the workout kids get as they climb and jump on the equipment, working all their major muscle groups.
Chris takes us through a playground workout showing us pullups, decline pushups and ab tucks using a swing, mountain climbers from a bench, and two different kinds of lunges.
One tip about pullups -- don't be discouraged if you can't do one. Chris recommends a "superband," which is a heavy duty band that can be used to assist your pullup. Chris uses the Spri band.
According to Chris, any playground can give you a quality workout, all you need is motivation.
