GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - We've all been there. Your new workout routine is taking a toll on your body.
Or what if you just rolled out of bed this morning with some aches and pains?
For some people, a quick trip to the masseuse and relieve those tight muscles, but the relief might be short lived.
Fitness expert Chris Freytag checked out a Minnesota made gadget to help soothe your sore muscles by yourself.
The TOLA was developed by local physical therapist, Jonathan Reynolds, to help clients at home between treatments.
The TOLA system allows you to:
Relax while receiving deep pressure.
The TOLA System has been designed to be used lying down, sitting or leaning against the device. It is simple to use and little or no muscle action is required in the region where pressure is applied.
Apply Pressure to yourself independently.
You can use the TOLA System to comfortably apply deep pressure to difficult-to-reach soft tissues without relying on an assistant.
Be in control.
You decide how much pressure to apply depending on your experience, the level of discomfort you are experiencing, the degree to which you want to relax muscle before stretching, or how deeply you want to penetrate into the soft tissue. You can select from 3 sizes of point and you can vary the height and/or angle of pressure application.
