"Everyone has something to offer the world."
Pam Wiehe got involved in Alley Shoppe six years ago because she was looking for something to keep her busy while her kids were in school. Now Pam says that Alley Shoppe is 'in her blood.' She is the director of the Alley Shoppe and coordinates every aspect.
Alley Shoppe has been providing clothes and household items to families in Ramsey County for nearly 40 years, but under Pam's direction the Shoppe has grown into so much more. She has started an on the job practice program that helps new refugees gain practical work experience and work on their English. She has also started a birthday bag program for families with children.
In addition to working with the nearly 9,000 adults and children who shop at Alley Shoppe, Pam manages a staff of 40 volunteers and presents at several area churches and organizations. She is always willing to share the stories of the miracles that happen everyday at Alley Shoppe.
