MINNEAPOLIS - This story started as an attempt to give you a few deals on spring break travel, but that quickly turned into a bust.

"Planes are full and the resorts are full," said AAA Travel's Wendy Weigel.

Skeptical, we didn't stop with Weigel's information.

"Sold out, the planes are going out full," reiterated Travel Leaders' Nora Blum.

In fact, every agency we talked to said the same thing.

If you spot a deal you better grab it, because there are very few, if any, when it comes to spring break travel.

"People are traveling again, and the weather," explained Weigel.  "All this snow all winter long and the weather in the northeast, people are clamoring to get out of town and to the sun and fun destinations."

This year, it's not just those in the Midwest looking for winter relief, but the millions of others on the east coast looking for an escape and headed to the same resorts.

"There are no more fire sales, there's very few discounting going on," said Weigel.  "It's a changed environment and people need to book early to get what they want."

Of course, there's always next year, and in some cases, booking begins now.

"There are already cruises that are available for 2014," said Blum.

Travel agents that talked to KARE 11 said flight and hotel deals for Spring Break 2014 will start to be packaged in June and July of 2013.
