MINNEAPOLIS - A 52-year-old Red Lake man has been indicted in federal court on child pornography charges.
James Patrick Needham made his initial appearance in federal court in Duluth on Wednesday. He faces one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
The indictment said that in July 2011, more than 1,300 images and 100 videos were found on a computer that was seized during the execution of a search warrant at Needham's home.
If convicted, Needham faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
The charges were a result of an investigation by the Minnesota Child Exploitation Task Force, the FBI and the Red Lake Tribal Police Department.
