MINNEAPOLIS - As Minneapolis students return to school, several wading pools and water parks around the city will close for the season.
The Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board announced they are closing 29 of its wading pools after Sunday, August 25. The water parks will also close and lifeguards at city beaches will no longer be available.
Thirty wading pools will remain open through Labor Day. City beaches will also remain open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, though they will not be staffed.
