Minge For Senate?

U-S Representative David Minge may announce early next week that hes forming an exploratory committee for a potential Senate campaign.

Minge and Representative Collin Peterson are among several Democrats considering the race against GOP Senator Rod Grams next year.

Former U-S Attorney David Lillehaug has announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination along with Richard Franson, a frequent candidate.

University of Minnesota professor Steve Miles has registered a committee with the Federal Elections Commission.

Several other Democrats also are considering the race.

They include former U-S Representative Tim Penny; attorney Michael Ciresi who led Minnesotas legal battle against tobacco companies; and businessman Vance Opperman.
