Dozen people sickened after chemical spill

A few scary minutes for workers at a medical clinic in Maplewood when a lab worker dropped a container of phenol, which is used in treating warts.

The container broke, spraying the chemical on the leg of the lab worker. She suffered minor burns on her legs.

The fumes moved through the Aspen Medical Clinic, sickening about a dozen people. They were taken to a hospital for observation and treatment.
