One person is dead and four others injured in two separate shootings in Minneapolis.
The first shooting happened around 7:40pm Saturday near 40th Street and 4th Avenue South. One man was seriously wounded in that incident.
The second shooting happened about 10 minutes later in the 1900 block of EM Stately Street. One person died at the scene and two others were taken to HCMC for treatment.
It's not clear what sparked the violence but Minneapolis Police are investigating the possibility that the shootings may be connected.
Authorities surrounded a home shortly after the second shooting but it's unclear if anyone was taken into custody.
