A Saint Paul man ? on his way to anger management class ? allegedly assaulted a woman at a bus stop.

Justin Boudin is charged with fifth-degree felony assault in the August 29 incident.

Boudin was at the bus stop at Minnesota and East Seventh streets when, according to police, he began yelling at a 59-year-old woman and other people. He allegedly struck the woman when she tried to use a cell phone to call for help.

A man at the stop tried to intervene when Boudin allegedly hit him with a folder of class work for the anger management session Boudin was traveling to attend. Metro Transit police got his name for the materials and he was eventually arrested.

Boudin told police he was assaulted and dropped the folder when he fled.

Boudin has two prior convictions for domestic assault, he makes his next court appearance Friday.
