Jimmy Wetch's dachsund "Junior" was stolen early Sunday morning, along with his vehicle and wallet.

Wetch ran into a convenience store in Fridley and made the mistake of leaving his Suzuki SUV running. Moments later he watched as two men sped away in his car.

It's not the car, but his 6-year-old dog that was inside the vehicle he cares about. "For me I never had a kid so its like your kid getting taken away from you and there's nothing you can do about it, then you feel reponsible to it," says Wetch.

Police have not been able to find Wetch's vehicle.

Junior is a popular mainstay at the owner's pool hall, Jimmy's Pro Billards, on Central Avenue in New Brighton.
