A crash involving a school bus and a tanker truck happened Tuesday morning in St. Paul.

The accident happened at 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of Mounds Boulevard and East 7th Street.

Authorities say the school bus went off the road and wound up hitting a sculpture in front of the library on the campus of Metropolitan State University.

There were 10 students on the school bus but there are no reports of injuries. The driver of the school bus was taken to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul but was released.

The bus was heading to Crosswinds International Baccalaureate school at the time of the accident.

The tanker truck, which was empty, sustained minor damage on the driver's side.

The State Patrol is investigating the crash along with St. Paul Police.
