Police say a Minneapolis woman locked a six-year-old out on the roof of a Park Avenue apartment complex in the freezing rain, while dangling her baby out of the second story window.
20-year-old Vanessa Sparks of Minneapolis has been charged with two counts of child endangerment.
According to the criminal complaint filed today, Sparks said she was babysitting the six-year old last Friday and admitted to police she forced the child out on the roof for almost 10 minutes. The complaint says the child was wearing only a light shirt and pants.
Sparks also admitted to dangling her infant son out of the window and acknowledged that both of the children would have been hurt had they fallen.
