A carnival ride collapsed Friday evening at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in California injuring 18 people.
Capt. Andrew Murphy from Cal Fire said two people in serious condition were transported to a hospital by helicopter.
A witness told the NBC station in Sacramento that it was on a swing ride with up to 25 people on board.
Medical officials were seen taking people to area hospitals, as well as providing care on the scene.
The Jumping Frog Jubilee was taking place at the fairgrounds this weekend.
The festival arose from Mark Twain's first published work, "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County," which he wrote after hearing a tale during a trip to a cabin in Angels Camp.
