Want to warm up your car in Minneapolis this winter? Better make sure you don't let it run too long.
The city council and the mayor approved a "no idling" rule.
That means most vehicles will not be allowed to idle more than three minutes, except in traffic.
The goal is to reduce air pollution, but city officials point out it will save you money as well.
They condent ten seconds of idling uses more fuel than re-starting the car.
There is an exception however, if it's below zero, you will be allowed to idle your car for 15 minutes.
