Governor Pawlenty says talks of him being a vice presidential candidate for John Mccain is just speculation.
Palwenty appeared on 'Fox News Sunday' and said he's not looking for the VP job.
He said, "I want to help him (John Mccain) become the president because I think he'd be a great president, but I don't have any designs of being vice president." The governor continued by saying, "If somebody came and said that, I'd be honored to be mentioned, honored to be asked, but it would be difficult to turn down, but I don't have any design and that's not why I'm a great and strong promoter of senator mccain."
After his appearance, Pawlenty made another pitch for another round of stimulus checks.
"I think the congress and president should consider a second stimulus package that would help the economy further," Pawlenty said. "I think the first one is a start but I don't think it's going to do the job in terms of providing the incentives we need to get the economy back on it's feet."
On Friday, President Bush mentioned more stimulus could be on the way after the biggest one month jump in unemployment in 22 years.
