The Secretary of State and a Taste of Minnesota along with the city of St. Paul announced a partnership on a variety of voter preparation activities for this summer.

The partnership is designed to help make voting as simple as possible in anticipation of the fall election.

Attendants can register to vote at the Taste and learn the process of voting. People can fill out a sample ballot and put it in a ballot counter.

"Minnesota led the nation in eligible voter turnout for the last Presidential election," said Secretary of State Mark Ritchie. "We can be a part of making that turnout even higher this year in an election that promises to be one for the history books."

The planned voter preparation activities include:

  • On-site voter registration

  • Spanish and Hmong interpreters

  • General voter information

The Office of the Secretary of State staff will also be on hand throughout the Taste to answer any questions and help people register and practice voting.

A Taste of Minnesota takes place on Harriet Island in St. Paul from July 3-6.
