MINNEAPOLIS -- Republican John McCain's next stop in Minnesota will feature what the campaign is billing as a town hall meeting.
McCain's campaign says Monday that the presidential nominee will hold a late-Friday afternoon event at Lakeville South High School. The Arizona senator's wife, Cindy, will be with him, but running mate Sarah Palin is not expected to attend.
The campaign is anticipating a crowd of between 1,000 and 5,000. That's far smaller than the airport hanger rally McCain and Palin held in Blaine on September 19.
Campaign spokesman Tom Steward says people who want tickets will be expected to sign up for some volunteer work. Tickets will be handed out through the campaign's Burnsville, Eden Prairie and St. Paul offices.
