The Wild Mountain Ski Area has blown enough man-made snow to open its slopes for skiers and snowboarders.
Snowmaker Dan Raedeke says as long as the nights dip into the 20's the early season base can withstand temperatures in the 40's.
He says if the snow melts they will just fire up the snow guns and make more.
Lift tickets will be priced at $16, with rates scheduled to increase as more open terrain is available.
Hours of operation for the rest of the week are from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
