There have not been any reports of people getting sick after eating the food.

Officials say properly cooking the food kills Listeria bacteria, but the Minnesota Department of Agriculture says often times people overlook the cooking instructions and simply heat these products in the microwave.

Eating food contaminated with Listeria bacteria can cause listeriosis. It's an uncommon, but potentially serious illness with symptoms that include fever, severe headache, neck stiffness, and nausea. Listeriosis can cause deadly infections in high-risk groups like infants, the elderly and those with a weakened immune system.

Anyone who thinks they got sick after eating the food should contact their health care provider and the MN Foodborne Illnesses Hotline at 1-877-366-3455.
