ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Summer's start brings the undecided Minnesota Senate election to another dubious milestone. It's now officially a four-season affair.
The post-election fight to determine whether Democrat Al Franken or Republican Norm Coleman won has consumed all or parts of fall, winter, spring and now, summer.
The camps are awaiting a Minnesota Supreme Court ruling, which could propel Franken into the Senate or give Coleman another chance to make up a 312-vote deficit. Justices heard arguments in the case three weeks ago and their verdict could come at any time.
Minnesota has had a single U.S. senator while the election has moved through the courts.
