KARE 11 wins National Edward R. Murrow Award

KARE 11 News reporter Boyd Huppert and photojournalist Jonathan Malat have won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for "Feature Reporting" on a story featuring a duck.

The story of the "Duck in a Truck" originally aired on KARE 11 in November of 2008. It was part of a series of stories by Boyd Huppert called Land of 10,000 Stories.

The National Edward R. Murrow Awards winners were announced Monday morning.

This is KARE's 14th National Edward R. Murrow Award. KARE is the only media outlet in the Twin Cities to win a national award for 2008.
