MINNEAPOLIS -- U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and some senior officials from the State Department will tour a new passport office in Minneapolis Tuesday.
Before the Minneapolis Passport Agency opened the office in May, people traveling abroad on short notice had to go through Chicago to get counter assistance.
The Minneapolis office won't handle all passport matters. It only serves customers who are traveling or seeking a foreign visa for a trip occurring within two weeks.
