Investigators in Cass County suspect poor ventilation of a gas heater caused the deaths of a man and woman this weekend in northern Minnesota.

58-year-old Lee Schwarze and his wife, 55-year-old Nancy Schwarze, were found dead inside their cabin in rural Longville just before 1 p.m. Saturday. Relatives called for help when they got to the cabin.

The couple's 22-year-old son, Michael Schwarze of Hutchinson, was found unconscious in the cabin and airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis for treatment. He was listed in critical condition as of 9:30 a.m. today.

Autopsy results for his parents are expected later this week.
