WARREN, Minn. -- A Minnesota police officer and former Wisconsin deputy is charged with receiving and possessing stolen property.

Thirty-seven-year-old Paul James Kezar was in the Marshall County jail Friday on charges filed in Marshall and Pennington counties.

Court documents say Kezar received a dozen high-priced items that had all been reported stolen. They include a $16,000 boat and several riding lawnmowers valued at more than $7,000 each.

The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says Kezar was a probationary officer with the Thief River Falls department. He also worked as a sheriff's deputy in Wisconsin's St. Croix County and as a police officer in Stillwater.

Online court records didn't list an attorney for Kezar on Friday.
