One suspect shot, one on the loose after Wisconsin bank robbery
BRUCE, Wis. -- Police are looking for 21-year-old Robert H. McCallie in connection with a Wisconsin bank robbery Friday afternoon. McCallie is a white-male, 6'5" tall, 200lbs with brown eyes and brown hair. He is considered armed and dangerous. According to police, McCallie may be driving a Green, 2001 Ford pickup truck with Wisconsin plate ET9636. The truck is listed as stolen from Rusk County. McCallie is accused robbing the Dariyland State Bank in Exeland along with two other men. Steven Ray Willard, 19, of Phillips, Wisconsin has been arrested. Another man was shot by officers after he fled the scene in a car. According to Lt. Jeff Lorentz, of the Wisconsin State Patrol, the three men attempted to rob the bank at about 2:20 p.m. Friday. Two men took off from the scene on foot another in a car. Law enforcement chased the car to an area west of Bruce in Rusk County, where a law enforcement officer shot and killed the man. Lorentz didn't know if it involved a police officer or sheriff's deputy, but knew it wasn't a State trooper. He says there have been a string of bank robberies in the area but he didn't know if they were connected. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
