BIRCHWOOD, Wis. -- Authorities have recovered a body at the scene of a fire in northwestern Wisconsin and say they believe foul play is to blame.
The Sawyer County sheriff's department says in a news release that emergency personal found the body of a man Saturday night at a building fire in Edgewater Township.
Authorities got the report of the fire at 7:30 p.m. Deputies, Birchwood Police Department officers, and the Birchwood Fire Department and ambulance were dispatched.
The sheriff's department says evidence at the scene pointed toward foul play.
