A 48 year old woman from Hudson is one of three people who died this week in Minnesota from confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus.

Debra Mae (Johnson) Lindstrom was an otherwise healthy mother of 3, who came down with flu-like symptoms. After several days without improvement, her family says Debbie went to the Hudson Clinic on Thursday, October 29th. She was then referred to Hudson Hospital emergency room.

Doctors there found that the H1N1 virus had attacked Lindstrom's heart, surrounding it with fluid. She was immediately transported by ambulance to Regions Hospital. Her condition worsened significantly over the next two days.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, November 1st, Debra Lindstrom was transferred by helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, where she was confirmed positive with H1N1.

She lost her fight with the virus Tuesday night.

Visitation for Debra Lindstrom is Friday, from 3 to 8 p-m at O'Connell Funeral Home in Hudson. Her funeral is set for Saturday, 11 a-m, at Bethel Lutheren Church in Hudson.

All memorials will be dedicated to her children's educational funds.
