Nineteen-year-old Taylor James Pass of Eagan was acquitted of murder in the second degree (with intent to kill) and second degree murder (while committing a felony) in connection with a stabbing attack that claimed the life of Tina Nicole SanRoman.

A Dakota County jury deliberated for 14 hours before announcing they were deadlocked.

The stabbing occurred in the 35 year old SanRoman's home in the city of Burnsville on April 7, 2009. A 23-year-old male victim was also injured in the incident.

The jury deadlocked and was unable to reach a verdict on the remaining counts of Attempted Murder in the First Degree, Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Assault in the Second Degree in connection with the knife injuries suffered by this second victim. Judge Patrice Sutherland declared a mistrial and set a second jury trial for these remaining counts on April 5, 2010.
